TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last updated: 22 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of the Siam Cottage website and to reservations, orders and services made available through or in connection with our website.

By using our website, making a reservation or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. About Siam Cottage

2. Using Our Website

Our website is provided for general information about Siam Cottage, including our menus, opening information, reservations, takeaway services and contact details.

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes and not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or its systems

  • Introduce viruses, malicious software or other harmful material

  • Interfere with the operation or security of the website

  • Use website content for unlawful or unauthorised commercial purposes

We may update, change or temporarily withdraw parts of the website where reasonably necessary.

3. Restaurant Reservations

Restaurant reservations may be made through our website, by telephone or through our third-party booking provider.

A booking is not confirmed until you receive confirmation from us or the relevant booking provider.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information supplied when making your booking is accurate.

If you need to change or cancel your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible.

Any specific cancellation, deposit, card guarantee or no-show conditions shown to you at the time of booking will form part of your reservation terms.

We reserve the right to cancel or amend a booking where reasonably necessary, including circumstances outside our control. Where possible, we will contact you using the information provided with your reservation.

4. Arrival Times

Please arrive at the time stated on your booking.

If you are running late, we recommend contacting the restaurant as soon as possible.

Where a customer arrives significantly later than their reservation time without contacting us, we may be unable to hold the table indefinitely, particularly during busy periods.

We will always try to accommodate customers where reasonably possible.

5. Group Bookings

Larger parties may be subject to additional booking conditions, including a deposit, advance menu selection or agreed cancellation period.

Where additional conditions apply, these will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.

6. Menus, Prices and Availability

We aim to ensure that menus, descriptions and prices displayed on our website are accurate.

However:

  • Dishes and ingredients may change

  • Certain dishes may be unavailable

  • Seasonal menus may vary

  • Prices may be changed from time to time

  • Website information may occasionally contain errors

The applicable price will normally be the price displayed or confirmed when you place your order or visit the restaurant.

We will not change the agreed price of an order after it has been accepted except where an obvious pricing error has occurred and the correct price is brought to your attention before the order is fulfilled.

7. Takeaway and Online Orders

Online takeaway orders may be processed through a third-party ordering platform.

When placing an order, you are responsible for providing accurate:

  • Contact information

  • Collection or delivery details, where applicable

  • Order information

  • Allergy or dietary information where requested

Your order is subject to availability and acceptance.

An automated acknowledgement that an order has been submitted does not necessarily mean that it has been accepted. Where applicable, confirmation will be provided by the ordering platform or restaurant.

8. Collection and Delivery Times

Any preparation, collection or delivery time shown when ordering is an estimate unless expressly stated otherwise.

We will take reasonable care to prepare orders within the expected timeframe, but delays may occasionally occur due to demand, traffic, weather, technical issues or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If there is a significant problem with your order, please contact us as soon as possible.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

Because restaurant meals and takeaway food are generally prepared specifically for an individual order and may deteriorate rapidly, cancellation and refund rights can differ from those applying to many other products bought online.

Where an order has already been accepted and preparation has begun, it may not be possible to cancel it.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

If your order is incorrect, missing items, not as described or there is another problem with the food or service provided, please contact us promptly so that we can investigate and provide an appropriate remedy where required.

10. Allergies and Dietary Requirements

If you have a food allergy, intolerance or other dietary requirement, please tell us before ordering.

Our food may contain or come into contact with allergens during storage and preparation.

We provide information concerning regulated allergens used as ingredients in our food as required by applicable food law. The Food Standards Agency currently identifies 14 regulated allergens that food businesses must communicate to customers where they are used as ingredients.

Customers with allergies should not rely solely on general menu descriptions or symbols and should speak to a member of staff so that we can provide the most appropriate information available.

Where you are ordering through a third-party platform, please follow the platform's instructions for communicating allergy information and contact the restaurant directly where necessary.

Although we take allergen management seriously, our kitchen handles a range of ingredients and we cannot make guarantees that are inconsistent with the actual preparation environment.

11. Alcohol

Alcohol will only be supplied in accordance with applicable licensing law.

We reserve the right to request valid proof of age and to refuse the sale or service of alcohol where required by law or where appropriate under our licensing responsibilities.

Alcohol will not be knowingly supplied to anyone under the legal purchasing age.

12. Behaviour Within the Restaurant

We want Siam Cottage to be a welcoming and safe environment for customers and staff.

We reserve the right to refuse service or ask a customer to leave where there is a reasonable justification, including threatening, abusive, discriminatory or seriously disruptive behaviour.

This does not affect any rights customers have under applicable equality and consumer protection legislation.

13. Third-Party Services

Our website may link to services operated by third parties, including restaurant booking, takeaway ordering, payment and social media platforms.

These services may have their own terms, conditions and privacy policies.

Where you complete a transaction directly with a third-party provider, you may also be agreeing to that provider's terms.

Siam Cottage is not responsible for the general availability or operation of third-party websites and platforms that are outside our reasonable control.

14. Payments

Where payment is made online, payments may be handled by a third-party payment provider.

We do not necessarily receive or store your complete payment card details.

Prices will be displayed in pounds sterling unless otherwise stated.

Any compulsory charges applicable to an order will be displayed or communicated before you commit to the purchase.

15. Gift Vouchers

Where Siam Cottage offers gift vouchers, any specific validity period, redemption conditions or restrictions will be stated when the voucher is purchased.

Gift vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law.

Any additional voucher terms presented at the time of purchase will also apply.

16. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of this website, including:

  • Text

  • Branding

  • Logos

  • Graphics

  • Photography

  • Menu designs

  • Website design

is owned by or licensed to Siam Cottage.

You may view and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit our website content without prior permission unless permitted by law.

17. Website Availability

We aim to keep our website accurate, secure and available.

However, we do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or free from technical errors.

We may suspend access temporarily for maintenance, security reasons or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

18. Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful.

In particular, nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights relating to goods and services or attempts to exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

UK consumer law prevents businesses from contracting out of certain fundamental consumer rights, including rights relating to faulty goods and services that have not been provided with reasonable care and skill.

Subject to those protections, Siam Cottage will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant contract was entered into or losses arising from events outside our reasonable control.

19. Privacy and Personal Information

Your use of our website and services may involve the collection and use of personal information.

Please see our Privacy Policy for information about how we collect, use and protect personal data.

20. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to:

  • Our services

  • Our website

  • Our booking or ordering systems

  • Applicable laws or regulations

The latest version will be published on our website with the date of the most recent update.

Changes will not retrospectively alter an existing confirmed order or booking unless this is required by law or agreed with you.

21. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you retain any legal rights regarding where proceedings may be brought under applicable consumer law.
